Dubbed as a test of abilities, the Management Training Program (MTP) Batch 5 participants has come to an end as 21 dedicated individuals gathered to celebrate the culmination of months of commitment, diligence, and growth – a transformative journey for the MTP participants who began the adventure with a shared goal of honing their leadership and management skills. The celebration, which took place at Nenita’s Events Place, Apokon, Tagum City on November 9, 2024, ushers a new era for Tagum Cooperative’s hope that these successful graduates inherits the Cooperative’s robust vision and mission.

Despite the program’s monicker, the 3-month program is not only aimed in helping potential leaders step into higher roles or going beyond the mastery of strategy of becoming an effective leader but also helping them learn their one true self – gaining self-awareness that goes along knowing their best strengths and amendable weaknesses.
The graduation ceremony began with a celebratory procession, setting a tone of pride and significance for the graduates, event facilitators, and guests. This ceremonial walk symbolized the dedication and hard work that had led them to this moment. Afterward, Director Eduard C. Amoguis delivered a heartfelt and inspiring welcome address, highlighting the importance of the graduates’ journey and the lasting impact of the knowledge and skills they had gained. Director Ruel M. Dagsangan then took the stage to acknowledge the presence of the Board of Directors, TC Officers, the Senior and Management Team, the Expanded Management Team, and the MTPs. The ceremony continued with Ms. Juris D. Perez, CEO of Tagum Cooperative, officially declaring the MTP Batch 5 participants as graduates. This was followed by a presentation that chronicled the graduates’ remarkable journey.

Over the past three months, the graduates immersed themselves in a comprehensive curriculum designed to challenge their perspectives, expand their skill sets, and equip them for the demands of managerial roles, covering a wide range of topics—each designed to foster the essential competencies needed in today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving management landscape.
For many graduates, this achievement goes beyond a mere academic milestone; it is a testament to their unwavering commitment to self-improvement and resilience. The drive to continue learning and striving for improvement—often at the cost of time and effort away from the comfort of home, choosing perseverance over surrender. It is also noteworthy that the program’s impact extends far beyond the transfer of knowledge. It goes further with exemplifying a culture of collaboration, sparked critical thinking, and honed adaptability, preparing these graduates not just for a career, but for the challenges of an ever-evolving world.
Pride and excitement filled the room as graduates received their certificates and plaques of appreciation. Another highlight of the ceremony was the moving speech delivered by one of the graduates—Mr. Juvanie Dela Cruz, “we
have all helped each other grow, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to learn with and from”.
These words, alongside the two other speeches from his fellow MTPs, echoed in the halls and resonated with a transformative impact, not only on their careers but on their outlook on leadership and teamwork. The speech was a reminder of the power of perseverance and the importance of never stopping the pursuit of self-improvement.

The Management Training Program graduation was not only a celebration of the graduates’ academic success but also a testament to Tagum Cooperative’s commitment to developing individuals to reach their fullest potential. Kudos to the TC Human Resource Management Department for another successful execution and launch of the program, which continues to shape and cultivate strong leaders.
As the MTP Batch 5 graduates step into their new possible roles, they are sure to make a lasting impact, equipped with the power of hard work, dedication, and the drive to continually grow as leaders in the ever-evolving world of management, and instilled further with tools and knowledge to excel in their careers and lead with confidence.
