On a significant occasion filled with desire and cooperation, the Tagum Cooperative made an invaluable expansion by officially opening the Tagum Cooperative-Iligan Satellite Office in a historic inauguration ceremony last September 26, 2023, in the presence of the Tagum Cooperative’s Executives and Board of Directors, along with representatives from the Iligan Local Government Unit and devoted staff members.
The pinnacle of the celebration was reached with the commencement of the ribbon-cutting ceremony spearheaded by the Tagum Cooperative’s notable officials. The act of cutting the ribbon symbolizes the official start of operations and the cooperative’s commitment to expanding its reach and services to benefit the Iligan community.
Dir. Janet T. Matuguinas, a Board of Directors member, took the opportunity to extend heartfelt gratitude and recognition to the guests of honor. Her words serve as an insightful reminder of the cooperative’s appreciation for the unwavering support of the Iligan community and its leaders. This moment of acknowledgment further strengthens the cooperative’s dedication to building strong ties with local authorities and partners.
Furthermore, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Dir. Nenita R. Malbas, expressed her enthusiasm as she delivered an excerpt of her speech, saying, “It is crucial to recognize the efforts and hard work of our senior management and staff, especially the Iligan team. Indeed, we are embracing diversity and inclusivity, and that is the essence of every cooperative—to help not only the members but the community as well. The Chief Executive Officer, Dir. Juris D. Perez led a symbolic toast to mark the event’s end, which was a moving portrayal of unity.
