To empower individuals with practical skills and entrepreneurial acumen, Tagum Cooperative unveils the VocPreneur: Vocational and Entrepreneurship Skills Development Training series initiative, a pioneering endeavor aimed at creating inclusive growth and economic empowerment within the community.
Launched on March 22 and 23, 2024, the VocPreneur: Remedial Pain Management with Product Costing and Pricing Seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from over thirty (30) solo parents, including women, retired teachers, and community members, both cooperative members and non-members alike.
The VocPreneur training seminar champions a multifaceted approach to skills development, capsulated with vocational training and entrepreneurship education. Under the expert guidance of Marilyn Salon, renowned for its expertise in wellness, participants tackled remedial pain management, acquiring techniques for personal well-being and potential income generation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Rollie Jay Dupitas, a Trade and Industry development specialist from the Department of Trade and Industry – Davao del Norte, led insightful sessions on entrepreneurship essentials, capacitating attendees with creative insights into product costing and pricing strategies.
Through immersive, hands-on experiences and expert-led seminars, participants were equipped with the proficiency necessary for business management and operationsBeyond skill acquisition, the VocPreneur training seminar gathers individuals from diverse backgrounds to establish inclusivity and solidarity, all of which add to skills development and empowerment, thereby offering equal opportunities for all the participants.
