The gathering of the best among the best cooperative leaders took place at the Zoom platform on August 16-17, 2023, bannering the core of the event, Leadership Essentials for Tagum Cooperative District Representatives.
The crucial role of leadership skills is always the major component of building any institution to the great heights of success. The requirement to stay ahead of the curve in fast-paced learning environments also demands a platform to develop or acquire skillset.
Tagum Cooperative, through the initiative of the Communications and Education Department (CED), organized a webinar on leadership essentials to keep abreast in shaping Tagum Cooperative as a sustainable and progressive cooperative in the long run with leadership qualities and cooperative values of leaders.
The webinar started with opening remarks from the Chairperson of the Board, Dir. Nenita R. Malbas, setting the tone for the exploration of leadership essentials. The participants were welcomed into a virtual space and encouraged to participate actively to create engaging and meaningful discussions.
The dynamic set of participants representing diverse backgrounds and fields of discipline shared personal experiences and challenges and gained new insights about leadership out of its multifacetedness and unique nature.
Resource Speaker Dr. Evelia R. Satur delved into the fundamental principles of effective leadership, particularly for adaptive leadership, emotional intelligence, and crisis management. She then shifted the focus toward practical strategies and sustainable growth for the cooperative, where participants were given the space to infuse their ideas through question-and-answer segments.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chairperson of the Board, Dir. Hermarie T. Esmael expressed her closing remarks emphasizing leadership as an essential skill in bringing unity towards a common goal for the cooperative’s future. She is optimistic that participants can implement their learning in their respective branches and satellite offices effectively and efficiently.Tagum Cooperative, as a cooperative institution, always enlivens the spirit of cooperativism, breaking boundaries to unify cooperators from all walks of life.
