The unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19 has reformed both social and educational system in the country. Social events and physical interactions are limited and traditional classroom set-up is being challenged. Thus, the Department of Education initiated its learning continuity plan giving birth to various teaching modalities – online, modular, broadcast learning.
In these challenging times, Tagum Cooperative strengthens its partnership with the Department of Education through its vast support in the annual Brigada Eskwela which signals the opening of classes. Its virtual launching has highlighted the need to strengthen collaboration with different public and private sectors to ensure that quality education not be compromised amidst the pandemic. This year’s theme is about “Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan Tungo sa Kalidad na Edukasyon para sa Kabataan”.
Dir. Rosalina S. Argent, Chairperson Board of Directors of Tagum Cooperative emphasized and commended the Department of Education, for its valiant and innovative learning continuity plan despite on-going challenges. Dir. Argent assured that Tagum Cooperative will continue being an active partner of the Department of Education in various programs and advocacies focusing on Financial Literacy and Youth Empowerment.
Tagum Cooperative has budgeted almost a Million pesos intended for the donation of A4 bond papers for module production and ethyl alcohols to be used as disinfectants. These donations being given by all TC Branches and Satellite Offices are sourced from the Community Development Fund (CDF).
Tagum Cooperative is working side by side, hand in hand with DepEd to protect life and ensure good quality education. Sulong Edukalidad!
