In celebration of National Family Week, Tagum Cooperative proudly launched the Family Week Sports Fest at Arriesgado Gymnasium, Tagum City on September 28, 2024. This vibrant and festive gathering brought together nineteen (19) families from various branches, including the Main Office, Tagum Market, Sto. Thomas, Carmen, and Panabo, igniting a sense of unity and community spirit.
Thanks to the initiative and dedication of the GAD/GE Committee – chaired by Dir. Eduard C. Amoguis, vice-chaired by Dir. Josephine L. Fadul, and with the committee secretary, Mr. Mauricio M. Limbaga Jr., the event was filled with engaging activities, highlighted by an inspirational talk from Reverend Father Tom P. Avila Jr. The guest speaker, who had seventeen (17) years of experience as a Diocesan clergy and currently works as School Director spoke on the themes of family togetherness and spirituality, emphasizing the vital role of commitment and cohesion within households. Fr. Tom accentuated further the importance of strong family bonds in fostering a supportive community.
The festivities officially kicked off with a warm welcome from the Chairperson of the Board, Dir. Rosamaria S. Torrejano. Following her introduction, Dir. Amoguis took the stage to deliver an engaging and entertaining overview of the event’s rationale and objectives. This lively beginning set an exciting tone for the day, particularly with the Grand Entrance of the Team Colors, each showcasing their spirit and enthusiasm: Red Dragon, Green Eagle, Blue Sharks, Violet Panther, Yellow Cheetah, and Orange Tiger.
Participants radiated fiery energy throughout the activities, eagerly diving into the Zumba dance-off, showcasing their talents in family presentations, and engaging in invigorating games designed to awaken and uplift their spirits. The atmosphere buzzed with joy and enthusiasm, marking a memorable kickoff for everyone involved.
As the event was filled with excitement and camaraderie, and families actively engaged in the variety of fun activities designed to promote teamwork and healthy competition – Tagum Cooperative successfully created a wonderful opportunity for participants to connect, share experiences, and create lasting memories together.
The presence of families highlighted the cooperative’s commitment to nurturing strong familial bonds and celebrating the importance of togetherness.
