Tagum City-based Mutual Assistance Associations partners with Tagum Cooperative Funecare to extend memorial services to the bereaved members and the community. The partnership was formalized through the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Funecare Dayong Maharlika located at Purok Maharlika, Mangga Visayan Village, Tagum City; and Helping Hands Association located at Purok Dahlia, Visayan Village, Tagum City.
To enter with a partnership with TC FuneCare, a mutual assistance association – or more commonly, dayong, in the local dialect, does not require a specific requirement. Once a mutual assistance association will enter into a partnership with TC FuneCare, one privilege includes 10% incentive which will be given to the partner association should a casket be purchased at TC FuneCare. The incentive will be given to the Association’s Reserve Fund or will be given to the Association’s member whichever was stated on the MOA. Moreover, in the case of a Senior Citizen the standard 20% senior citizen discount will take effect first before the 10% incentive will be deducted if the member is both a member of the Association and the Cooperative
TC FuneCare Manager Ms. Maria April V. Bandala states, that the incentive given shall help lessen the financial burden of a family member in times when they need it most, “These types of partnerships will allow Tagum Cooperative, through its Third Business line, reach more people in the community.” She adds.
In addition to entering with Partnerships, TC Funecare also has accredited Funeral Parlors, affordable packages, and allows for customized arrangements during the wake and interment. Indeed, making it special.
