[๐ฅ๐ฒ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ ๐ข๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐] Tagum Cooperative carried out relief operations on April 28, 2023 in the municipality of Maragusan as a form of assistance to the residents affected by the recent earthquake last February 6, 2023 and March 06-07 2023. The municipality, located in the province of Davao de Oro, was hit by 6.9 magnitude and 4.3- 5.9, respectively.ย
The relief operation was spearheaded by the Branch Manager of Nabunturan,ย Midred Resa and the Communications, Education, and Community Development Manager, Al Gee Omega C. Bula. Also, the operation was assisted by the Municipal Social Welfare Development Office ofย Maragusan (MSWDO) to immediately mobilize resources to the affected residents.ย
Overall,ย three hundred and five (305) relief items were successfully handed over to identified barangays, namely, Katipunan, Paloc, and Tandik.ย
Truly, the relief operation in Maragusan serves as a reminder of the importance of disaster preparedness and the need to work together to help those in need. Indeed, the support of Tagum Cooperative made a significant difference in the lives of the affected residents. As the country faces more challenges in the future, we can take inspiration from Maragusan and continue to work together for the greater good of our fellow Filipinos.
