The realization of “Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers” (TUPAD) Program made a mark not only to the Coop NATCCO Party-list but to those who have been given an opportunity to earn despite losing their jobs because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The TUPAD implemented by COOP-NATCCO Party-List, Davao del Norte Chapter, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is a form of assistance that provides emergency employment for the disadvantaged/displaced workers in our community. The program runs for a maximum period of 10 Days with each Program-Beneficiary paid at Php 396.00 per Day, the approved minimum daily wage in Region XI.

Last November 4, 2021, Coop NATCCO Party-List through the initiative of Davao del Norte and Region XI Chapters President, Director ANTONIO C. ARAÑAS, MPA, proceeded with the promised cash distribution at Kapalong Cooperative (Municipality of Kapalong, Davao del Norte). Some twenty-eight (28) identified beneficiaries from the Municipality of Kapalong, Davao del Norte, went to Kapalong Cooperative to receive the cash provision. The event was attended by Mr. EXPEDITO L. BAYUDAN, Campaign Coordinator of COOP NATCCO; Ms. MA. TERESA B. SERMON, BOD Secretary of Kapalong Cooperative; and Mr. DANIEL C. PACHECO, General Manager of Kapalong Cooperative.

60 identified displaced workers from BARANGAY CUAMBOGAN,TAGUM CITY, DAVAO DEL NORTE also received the same benefit at Barangay Hall in Cuambogan under the supervision of Mr. ROBERTO ISAAL, Barangay Captain of Barangay Cuambogan; and Ms. ARMING CAACBAY, Barangay Education & Employment Desk Officer; Mr. EXPEDITO L. BAYUDAN, Campaign Coordinator of COOP NATCCO; 

In addition to the 60 beneficiaries of Barangay Cuambogan in Tagum City are another sixty (60) identified beneficiaries from BARANGAY MAGUGPO EAST,TAGUM CITY, DAVAO DEL NORTE, attended by Mr. ROGELIO M. VERALLO, Barangay Kagawad; and Mr. EXPEDITO L. BAYUDAN, Campaign Coordinator of COOP NATCCO.

Mr. JOHN CARLO MADELO and Ms. ANDREA S. MARCELO, TUPAD Program Coordinators from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) accompanied the Team during the cash assistance distribution in the areas mentioned above.

Aside from the TUPAD Program implementation, Coop NATCCO Party-list also initiated the donation of sixty (60) pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to Davao Regional Medical Center, fifty (50) pieces of PPEs to the Local Government of Tagum City and another fifty (50) pieces to the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte. This proves that the 7th Cooperative Principle of “Concern for Community” will always be present in the heart of the Coop NATCCO Party-List.
