Cooperators value life, Tagum Coop members donate blood during the 2nd Mass Blood Donation 2018. This is a continuing effort of the Himsug Pamilya Program (HPP) in partnership with the City of Tagum’s Mobile Collecting Team, barangay health workers from Brgy. Magugpo West and Brgy. Visayan Village.
On May 5, 2018, fifty members voluntarily gathered and willingly offered their blood to extend a hand to those in need. Each volunteer received simple tokens, meal and certificate.
Ms. Evaly Faith Bangcaya- coordinator of Tagum City Mobile Collecting team, briefed the volunteers on the blood donation process.
Ms. Juris D. Perez, Chief Executive Officer, thanked the members who have once again committed to save lives. She emphasized that Tagum Coop is blessed because members are also generous in sharing their personal blessings with other cooperators. Donating blood helps balance iron level, lowers cholesterol levels, reduces the risk of cancer, and helps maintain better blood flow.
The first mass blood donation was conducted on February 2, 2018 at Tagum Coop Nabunturan branch. Succeeding schedules will be held on July and October 2018.
