Senior citizen members of Tagum Cooperative enjoyed a heyday of services and activities with its Senior Citizens’ Day conducted on July 16.

56 elderly members of Nabunturan branch availed free medical consultation, eye screening, dental check-up, FBS-Cholesterol monitoring, haircut, massage, and manicure and pedicure in the Senior Citizens’ Day at the Municipal Covered Court.

Free medicines, multivitamins, and gift packs containing grocery items (rice, milk, biscuit, etc.) were also given away to the senior members who have been with Tagum Coop for a long time. Tagum Coop Vice-Chairperson Fe Adlawan and Dir. Miriam Baloyo, representing Chairperson Monica Salido, joined the members in the activity giving tips on how to enjoy old age as both of them are senior citizens already.

The Nabunturan leg of the Senior Citizens’ Day was the second of the four schedules set for this year after the one conducted in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte last February.

Through these endeavors, Tagum Coop has sustained its commitment in both advocacies for senior citizens and the youth as it lives up to its aim in serving both sectors of the society. (Tagum Cooperative)
