Seventy (70) youth members participated in TC Laboratory Cooperative’s 2nd Summer Youth Camp held at Energy Park, Apokon, Tagum City on May 21-22, 2017 in pursuit to empower campers through exploration and skill development in a variety of activities.

Zamora, Training Specialist II of Agriculture Training Institute Region XI talked about Decoding the New Breed of Young Filipino Farmers, Youth: Ready to get Hands Dirty. Campers really enjoyed and leaned their ears on the learning sessions given to them. Campers explore more and get along with co-participants during the Solidarity Night where they showcase their talents and creativeness.
One the second day, we started the activity with a Dawn Prayer facilitated by Ms. Elvira J. Paller, our active Aflatoun School Coordinator in Laureta Elementary School. Parlor games and team building activities followed. Participants communicate with each other, learned to work together as a team and as part of the camp community. They also became leaders, whether through guiding a first-time younger camper or managing their team. Furthermore, they navigated on their own and solve problems by themselves which engaged in many creative outlets, too. As they involved more complex challenges in getting along with a new group of peers they still manage it even without their parents following after them. After all, they are given the opportunity to grow more independent.
This summer gathering afforded our youth members the opportunity to develop more the cooperative values in a unique and creative approach and build friendship with other youth members.
