Tagum Cooperative (TC) continues to strengthen its commitment to gender equality and family well-being. Recently, the cooperative conducted a Gender Sensitivity Training with Family Enrichment Program for its new employees and officers.

Held on November 11, 2024, via Zoom video conference, the training aimed to: Enhance Understanding of Gender and Development Concepts: Participants gained insights into the complex interplay of gender, society, and development. Address Gender Issues: The training explored various gender-related challenges and discussed strategies for promoting gender equality.

Foster Family Enrichment: Participants learned practical tips and techniques for strengthening family bonds and addressing family concerns.

Our Gender Equality Committee has developed a comprehensive training program to educate our employees about gender sensitivity and family enrichment. This program aims to foster a culture of appreciation for both women and men’s contributions to society. By engaging leadership, management, and employees at all levels, we aim to make gender sensitivity a core part of our workplace culture and drive positive change.

By investing in this training, TC reinforces its position as a GAD Champion. The cooperative recognizes the importance of a gender-sensitive and inclusive work environment, where all employees feel valued and respected.

This initiative aligns with TC’s broader goal of becoming a 100% Gender-Sensitive and Responsive cooperative. By empowering its employees with knowledge and skills, TC is taking significant steps towards creating a more equitable and harmonious workplace and community. Cleve C. Ulalo
