Tagum Cooperative, through its steadfast commitment to education, continues to open doors for deserving students with the Academic Scholarship Program spearheaded by the Education Committee through the Communications and Education Department.
This year, a thorough selection process and in-depth background investigations were conducted in June 2024 to ensure the integrity and merit of all the applicants who pass the initial screening for qualifications.
Among these qualifications, applicants must be bonafide children or declared dependents of Tagum Cooperative members, and must be incoming first-year college students, and must have obtained an average grade of 85% or better in senior high school, and no grade should be lower than 85% for every taken subject. Most importantly, applicants must have no dropped-out subjects or any reflected grade as No Grade (N.G.). Additionally, parents’ annual gross income should not exceed ₱Php 240,000.00
Overall, the selection resulted in a cohort of five exceptional students. Four of these are enrolled at the University of Mindanao – Tagum Campus, and one at the University of Mindanao – Davao Campus.
As part of the scholarship agreement, all scholars will render service to Tagum Cooperative. This is to help them secure employment soon after finishing their studies.

As part of the TC Scholars program, a ceremonial MOA signing was held with the newly awarded scholars to provide orientation and raise awareness about their roles and responsibilities. Kenn M. Tayogandaga
