Tagum Cooperative’s ongoing efforts to disseminate information to a broader audience have extended to reaching remote communities during two separate periods: January 22-26, 2024, and February 05-09, 2024. This initiative involved the coordinated execution of a radio benchmarking activity conducted in Cagayan de Oro City, Butuan City, and Surigao City.

The primary objective of this activity was to infiltrate the specified cities and their neighboring municipalities, focusing on the comprehensive dissemination of information related to Tagum Cooperative’s products and services, business processes, recent developments, and cooperative leadership, governance, and management.

The collaborative effort behind the radio benchmarking activity involved the Research and Development Department, represented by R&D Specialists Jasmin C. Golez and Annie Rose G. Pingol, and the Communications and Education Department, headed by Department Manager Al Gee Omega C. Bula, along with Communications Supervisor Kenneth M. Tayogandaga.

In Cagayan, the benchmarked radio stations included 90.3 DXKI Strong Radio, Brigada News FM CDO, Bombo Radyo, K5 News FM, Win Radio CDO, Yes The Best, and iFM. Similarly, in Butuan, the stations comprised RMN and iFM, One FM, Brigada News FM Butuan, Magik FM and DXMK, Radyo Katribu Philippines, Radyo Serbato Philippines, and Wild FM. In Surigao, the benchmarked stations were DXSJ Infinite Radio, RMN – DXRS, One FM, FMR, RPN DXKS, Spirit FM, and Joy FM.Looking ahead, Tagum Cooperative plans to identify potential radio partners from these three cities in the first quarter of the year. Once selected, the chosen radio stations will engage in a simulation using a crossposting method, as content materials will be prerecorded and submitted to all three stations from distinct remote locations.
