In a heartwarming collaboration, the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii, together with Regina Rosarii Contemplative Association (ROCA) Davao, ROCA Tagum, and Tagum Cooperative (TC), successfully organized the “Alay Pahalipay” and Community Outreach program at Sitio Acapan, Barangay Gupitan, Kapalong, Davao del Norte on November 29, 2023. The event aimed to bring joy and support to the indigenous school children of Dibabawon Elementary School.
In this initiative, TC exemplified the true spirit of compassion and community engagement by generously donating sacks of rice to the recipients. This act of kindness went a long way in addressing the immediate needs of the community and showcasing the power of collaboration between organizations with a shared vision of social responsibility.
The positive impact achieved through the joint efforts of the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii, ROCA Davao, ROCA Tagum, and TC highlights the potential for transformative change when organizations unite for a common cause. Beyond individual efforts, the collective strength demonstrated that, with shared responsibility, we can build a stronger and more supportive community.
ROCA Davao, an organization of lay mission partners under the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii, played a significant role in the success of this event. Comprising thirty-five dedicated members, ROCA Davao engages in daily online prayer sessions and gathers every Monday evening at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish for their Contemplative Sit. Their commitment to spiritual and community growth serves as a beacon of inspiration for others looking to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.In the spirit of “Alay Pahalipay,” TC plays active part in making compassionate initiatives in local communities, aimed at fostering a sense of cooperativism and uplifting the lives of those who need it most.
