Tagum Cooperative’s Business Development Services (BDS) officially commenced on September 13th with an event titled “TC Pagpupugay for Public Market Workers & Entrepreneurs.”

This activity is planned to be conducted in several batches, with the first three batches held on September 13, 14 and 26, 2023. The venue for these sessions was Tagum Cooperative Market Stall No. 293 and 295, situated within the Tagum City Public Market.

Under the leadership of the Gender and Development (GAD)/Gender Equality (GE) Committee, members of the Sister Society took the lead in organizing the event. They successfully gathered 40 terminal dispatchers, entrepreneurs, and vegetable vendors, with a special collaboration with the Tagum City Unified Dispatchers and Controllers Association.

Ms. Thelma Capua, the association’s President, emphasized the importance of introducing her association members to the principles and values of cooperativism, as well as informing them about Tagum Cooperative’s Products and Services. She stated, “Daghan members sa among asosasyon na interesado magpa-member sa Tagum Cooperative ug maka tabang gyud ang serbisyo sa Tagum Coop sa among pang adlaw-adlaw nga panginabuhi” (Many members of our association are interested in becoming Tagum Cooperative members, and the services of Tagum Coop can truly assist in our daily livelihood).

The dedicated team from Tagum Coop’s Sister Society Members, including Dir. Eduard C. Amoguis, Ms. Flordeliza Alegarbes, Ms. Joan Almendras, Ms. Al Gee Omega Bula, Ms. Joy Fritz Josol, Ms. Gennivie Avelino, along with the GAD/GE Committee, worked diligently to provide education and opportunities for the participants.Now, the Tagum Cooperative Market Stall is open and accessible to members and the wider community, particularly those within the Tagum Public Market.
