Sister Society (SS) of Tagum Cooperative Chapter gathered for a General Meeting on May 16, 2023, via an online platform.  The TC Officers attended the General Meeting, employees & some members of the TC Lecturers Group.

The SS TC Chapter’s former president Dir. Janet T. Matuguinas accorded an inspirational welcome message during the event. Dir. Matuiguinas highlighted the significant contribution of the Sister Society movement to Tagum Cooperative and to the general community.

Participants are renewed with the presentation of GAD.GE Committee Chairperson Dir. Monica L. Salido, on the Sister Society Rationale, Objectives, Roles of the Members, Programs and Activities, Accomplishments, and future activities in the long run.

Ready to accept the roles and responsibilities, the current Tagum Cooperative BOD Chairperson Dir. Nenita R. Malbas was automatically installed as the SS TC Chapter President for the FY 2023-2024, together with the newly elected SS TC Chapter officers.

Historically, Tagum Cooperative organized its own Sister Society Chapter on May 22, 2015. With the spirit of volunteerism, members of the Sister Society participated in every community development program, promoting Gender Equality and other programs for coop members’ socio-economic welfare.

The Sister Societies are established on a local level around the world to further the GWLN’s global mission by making a local impact. The purpose is to assemble the coop leaders, discuss coop issues, exchange ideas, network with neighboring coop leaders, and provide education to share lessons learned with the GWLN members worldwide.
