Tagum Cooperative held its 5th Annual Representative Assembly on March 26, 2023, at the Tagum Cooperative Main Office, Magugpo West, Tagum City, attended by district representatives, management and staff, and officers. 


The event also utilized the zoom platform to accommodate district representatives from across branches and satellite offices while speeding up the election procedures. 

This year’s theme, “Tagum Cooperative: Embracing Digital Transformation, Reshaping Member-Customer Experience,” paved an opportunity for members to gather and discuss important issues affecting the cooperative, including the organization’s financial performance, strategic direction, and plans for the future.

The assembly began with the acknowledgment of guests, district representatives, and officers facilitated by Dir. Rosamaria S. Torrejano, Dir. Eduard C. Amoguis, Dir. Hermarie T. Esmael, and Dir. Noel O. Quidilla. In addition, Vice Chairperson of the Board, Monica L. Salido delivered her welcome remarks and expressed her gratitude for the members’ continued support and participation. She emphasized the importance of cooperation and unity in achieving the cooperative’s goals and objectives.

Moreover, the Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Juris D. Perez, presented the cooperative’s financial report, which showed a drastic increase in growth, marking the first billion net surplus in history. She also highlighted the organization’s various achievements, such as the successful implementation of new programs and services that benefited the members and the community.

The assembly also discussed the cooperative’s strategic plan, which outlined the organization’s goals and objectives for the next five years. The plan emphasized the need to improve the cooperative’s market position, expand its products and services, and enhance its operational efficiency and effectiveness.

The assembly concluded with the election of new members of the Board of Directors and the Committees on Audit and Election. The newly elected officials are said to pledge in the coming month to uphold the cooperative’s values and serve the best interests of the members.

In closing remarks, Dir. Nenita R. Malbas thanked the members for their active participation and encouraged them to continue supporting the cooperative’s initiatives. He reiterated the cooperative’s commitment to providing quality services and promoting the economic well-being of its members.
