Is there a need for an organization like Tagum Cooperative to acquire another type of leadership? In humble words, there is none since the practice of meaningful leadership has been lived. Our leaders are intentional about creating an impact on the members and the community and the new breed of leaders they have developed.

But what exactly is meaningful leadership? Let me lead you through this.

Meaningful leadership means establishing a meaningful connection. The people that we worked with are unique individuals. lt is essential for a leader to see beyond oneself. This practice builds a connection with the workforce and trust. Let us all remember that people don’t leave organizations, they leave their leaders.

Also, nurturing meaningful developments is another name for meaningful leadership. As a leader, consider the skills needed to grow into the future of the organization and identify the gaps. The more you know people, the more you witness their potential and grow with them by providing capacity building and skill enhancement.

Ensure meaningful meetings. It is amazing how meetings allow participants to engage in fruitful discussions and meaningful interactions within the organization. lt increases their value and the benefit of the time they have invested and their accomplishments.

lt is business savvy that every financial institution has its targets both in finances and employee management as part of its leadership goals. However, it is also essential that the true measure of leadership is on the quantity and quality of other emerging leaders they have inspired.

Let us revisit some of this demonstrative leadership at work which will remind our present crop of leaders as they perform their multiple tasks in leading the organization.

Look at the big picture. Our leaders should always reflect on how their actions can affect the overall success of a program or organizational aim, rather than focusing on minor details. Big-picture thinkers and implementers see opportunities, and they are more able to inspire and motivate their teams to focus on what they are best at.

Always be positive and proactive. Proactive people know themselves well. They have a life plan and set their goals in all areas of their lives. They think ahead. When a problem arises, they look for solutions immediately instead of waiting for directions and strive hard for the best possible outcomes.
