Tagum Cooperative successfully conducted the 5th Leadership Summit on February 10, 2023 with the Theme “Innovate. Integrate. Motivate”.
Among those who attended were the Board of Directors, Officers, Managers, and Supervisors of the cooperative. The event was warmly welcomed by the Chairperson of the Board, Director Janet Matuguinas. She emphasized that leadership is not defined mainly by the exercise of power but by a capacity to increase the sense of power among those who lead.
Additionally, Chief Executive Officer Juris D. Perez expressed her acknowledgment to the participants who were present in the Zoom Meeting. Meanwhile, to ensure the expectations of the participants were met, Chief Administration Officer Jovencio Rubilla set the checking, as he quoted, “If we want to improve our cooperative, we have to improve ourselves and for our cooperative which put up with you”.
Moreover, the program was inserted with fun-filled games that were prepared by the game masters as the participants showed their playfulness and competitiveness.
On a serious note, the momentous event was jaw-dropping, with the presence of renowned and distinguished resource speakers, well-known personalities, and motivational speakers who shared their inspiring and insightful remarks about their respective topics.
The first speaker was Mr. Jayson Lo. A top-ranked motivational speaker known for being a best-selling author, and President of JLYOUNIQUE Training Services. An entrepreneur, and creator of YOUnique™ & Never A Dull Moment Method Program. He defined his life’s purpose as a guide to people, to live their greatest YOUnique life through his speaking, coaching, and writing.
With the Topic “A Leader with Integrity”, an engaging and fun session that inspired and motivated leaders from Tagum Cooperative, even in a virtual setting. He made the learning session interactive and fun for virtual participants.
The second speaker was Mr. Francis Kong, one of the most respected business speakers in the Philippines and a recipient of The Outstanding Filipino (TOFIL) Award.
As he continued the learning session with his speech about “Courage over Comfort”, his dialogue emphasized personal development and growth and quoted “The future is a foreign land and all of us are foreigners, you and I are going to be immigrants on this land”. The speech ended with insights coming from the participants as they shared what they learned and what transpired during the dialogue with Mr. Kong.
On the other hand, participants enjoyed the raffle draws and fun games to have an active and fulfilling event. The program wrapped up with inspiring closing remarks by the Vice-Chairperson of the Board Dir. Monica L. Salido and closing prayer by the FuneCare Supervisor Lourence Caga-anan.
The Virtual Leadership Summit ended with a blast and a photo opportunity. Everyone implicitly gained new learning experiences as they continue to serve Tagum Cooperative and the general membership.
