Almost 1, 300 Tagum Cooperative (TC) members across all branches and satellite offices went through a training on Digital Literacy on TC’s digital facilities in 8 batches from January 25 to February 17, 2023 via virtual platform.
The training aimed to equip the members with the necessary skills and knowledge to use the cooperative’s digital tools and platforms.
Facilitated by the Education Committee and the Management through CECD and Marketing and Membership Department, participants were given a comprehensive overview of the different TC digital services.
The cooperative has its own online banking system which is called the “Tagum Coop Mobile App”, which allows members to access their accounts and perform transactions online with ease and convenience. This system is also integrated with the cooperative’s main services such as loan applications, loan payments, bills payment, fund transfers, and other financial transactions.
Members were also taught how to use the various features of the Pinoy Koop ATM, TC Kiosk, Auto Debit Arrangement (ADA), Online Insurance Transaction, Online Membership, Collection Centers, and a lot more.
Tagum Cooperative is known to be the first cooperative in the Philippines, which implements a virtual Members’ Assembly and also provides educational programs such as meetings and webinars.
During the program, the participants were also allowed to ask questions and clarify their doubts. The training was concluded with an open discussion on the importance of digital literacy and the need to keep up with the ever-changing digital landscape.
As Tagum Cooperative continuously aspires to help members improve their quality of life, the Officers and Management aim to digitize the member-customers’ experience excellently and delightfully.
